At Ngongotahā Kindergarten we believe tamariki learn best through play, making their own choices and discoveries. Kaiako value tamariki choices and interests, and support their development by setting the learning environment with provocations and resources.
Building strong, trusting, responsive and reciprocal relationships with tamariki and whānau is at the heart of all we do. Kaiako encourage and foster meaningful and respectful interactions between all tamariki, as well as between kaiako and tamariki. We believe relationships are the foundation to learning, allowing tamariki to be socially confident and competent.
We strive to provide a natural environment for tamariki indoors and outdoors. Our large outdoor environment allows tamariki to explore the wonderment of Papatūānuku and encourages active play, while offering challenges for tamariki physical needs.
We are committed to and acknowledge Te Tiriti o Waitangi, by working in partnership with our whānau and wider community. We are working towards increasing our use of te reo Māori with tamariki and whānau.
Nau mai haere mai, our door is always open, we welcome you to visit us any time.
