At Tūrangi Kindergarten we provide an environment where whakawhanaungatanga (building relationships) is an integral part of our programme.
Our kindergarten has a strong bicultural ethos, embellished under Tūwharetoatanga, and we implement practices and values derived from our kaumātua (elders). We have a huge indoor/outdoor environment that encourages tamariki to explore, and take risks whilst being guided by qualified and experienced kaiako (teachers).
We are committed to providing local learning opportunities for tamariki, including hunting, fishing, bushwalks, and marae visits. Learning is extended within these areas. Our commitment is to develop confident, capable, social tamariki who extend on prior learning and enjoy new learning. Tamariki explore and extend themselves mentally and physically – attributes that are essential for school and in life.
We welcome and encourage new and prospective whānau to come in and see what we offer.
Tūrangi Kindergarten is offering 100% assistance with fees from November 2023 to February 2024. As a non-profit organisation we re-invest our funds to help our whānau and ensure as many tamariki as possible have the opportunity to attend kindergarten.
Nau mai haere mai, come in for a kōrero. We’d love to meet you and talk about what our service has to offer.
