Ngā mihi nui ki a koe. We welcome you to visit ��������ϲʿ����� Strathmore Kindergarten, where we focus on giving our whānau a sense of belonging.

You will find us down the road from the Whakatāne Hospital. You enter our gate into a large playground with beautiful shade trees. The tamariki call this area ‘the park’. New whānau are invited to choose a buddy teacher to help settle their tamariki into kindergarten. Once settled, the kaiako (teachers) support tamariki to build relationships with each other, promote ako, tuakana-teina and guide tamariki through the complexity of learning social skills while in a safe environment.

Our experienced team of kaiako have been together since 2013. Our large and natural resourced outside environment provides tamariki with challenges and space to explore and investigate – come have a look for yourself.
